What to expect

Training
Weekly sessions in a fun, supportive environment. Coaches focus on fitness, skill development, match knowledge and understanding positions. Fun drills built into training sessions. Respect is crucial for a teams success.

Gear
Club provides matchday jumper. Girls only need GJFC official green shorts & socks. Mouthguards are mandatory for both games and training. Football boots are also needed. Get all your game day gear here  MERCHANDISE STORE  or via our SECOND HAND Facebook Page.

Games
Games are scheduled on Sundays around the Northern Suburbs. Team managers will give weekly information about what time the girls are required at the ground and which parents are required to volunteer.

Not sure yet? Come for a free trial session.

We offer a free trial training session for any girl who wants to give footy a go before committing. No experience needed — just turn up in sports gear and we'll take care of the rest.

What our families say

"My daughter had never played footy before and was really nervous. Within two weeks she absolutely loved it — the coaches were brilliant and the girls made her feel so welcome straight away."

— Sarah, mum of U12 player

"We weren't sure if footy was for us but the free trial was the perfect way to test the waters. Best decision we made — she hasn't stopped talking about it since."

— James, dad of U10 player

Investing in the future of girls football

GJFC is fully committed to growing our girls program for the long term. We've already invested in brand new changerooms and are actively working towards fielding U16 and U18 teams in the coming years — giving every girl who starts with us a home at the club all the way through their junior career. All my life starts here.
